Parish Engagement in Community Empowerment

PUKAT Denpasar believes that collaboration between lay organizations and local parishes is essential to building a comprehensive and impactful pastoral mission. Together, we are committed to addressing poverty, promoting human dignity, and advocating for justice within both faith communities and the wider society.

Shared Mission

As part of the Catholic Church, PUKAT carries out its social mission by serving others—especially young professionals, migrant workers, low-income families, and vulnerable individuals—while also supporting parishes in their efforts to promote leadership development, economic empowerment, and community outreach.

Our team brings valuable expertise and experience to help parishes design and implement relevant programs, including vocational training, shelter services at the Caritas Shelter, and initiatives that connect faith with professional and entrepreneurial life.

The Impact

Every day, PUKAT works hand-in-hand with parishes to reach those in need—spiritually, economically, and socially. Our programs are rooted in Catholic Social Teaching: that every person deserves dignity, opportunity, and compassion.
"And whatever you do, do it from the heart, as for the Lord and not for others."
— Colossians 3:23

Every contribution, big or small, helps restore dignity and build stronger communities.

Strategic Role of Parishes

Parishes across the Diocese of Denpasar are deeply rooted in local communities, serving as centers of prayer, formation, and solidarity.

In synergy with PUKAT, they help build a living faith—active not only within church walls but also in the realms of work, business, and social service. Together, they contribute to our shared mission through:
