Disaster Relief

PUKAT Denpasar is committed to being present in times of crisis, especially when natural or human-made disasters strike. As part of the Catholic community, we collaborate with parishes, volunteers, and local agencies to assist survivors—both immediately after the disaster and throughout the long recovery process.

The Challenge

The regions of Bali, Lombok, and Sumbawa are prone to natural disasters such as earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, floods, and landslides. Each year, hundreds of families are displaced due to damaged or destroyed homes. They urgently need food, clean water, temporary shelter, and psychosocial and spiritual support.

Who Benefits from
This Facility?

Displaced Families

Families who have lost their homes due to natural disasters and require immediate shelter and support.

Vulnerable Groups

Children and elderly individuals requiring special protection and care during crisis situations.

At-Risk Individuals

Migrant workers and persons with disabilities facing barriers to accessing emergency services.

Every contribution, big or small, helps restore dignity and build stronger communities.

Our Response

When disaster strikes, PUKAT’s Emergency Response Team moves quickly to provide food, temporary shelter at the Caritas Shelter, administrative help, and spiritual care for trauma healing.

We also stay committed through the recovery phase with home rebuilding, skills training, and ongoing emotional and spiritual support—ensuring families find both hope and practical assistance to start again.
