As part of PUKAT Denpasar Diocese’s commitment to supporting Catholic professionals, entrepreneurs, migrant workers, and young families, we offer the Caritas Shelter and Learning Space, a safe, welcoming, and affordable transitional lodging facility equipped with multipurpose rooms and a childrens library.

The Challenge

Many Catholic community members, migrant workers, young professionals, and new families face difficulties when arriving in Bali, Lombok, and Sumbawa due to lack of stable housing. They need a place where they can stay temporarily, affordably, and with dignity

Low-wage workers

37% work in retail, food/beverage service, home health and building cleaning.

Those with disabilities

19% have a disability and may depend on Supplemental Security Income (SSI).

The elderly

27% are seniors on fixed incomes with limited resources for food and medicine.

Those going without

They spend 38% less on food and 70% less on health care than other renters.

Our Response

Through Caritas Shelter and Learning Space, PUKAT Denpasar goes beyond providing temporary accommodation. We create a space for formation, education, and meaningful connection among Catholic professionals and families.
